The A R D equipment operates automatically upon occurrence of a mains blackout. It drives the hoist gear motor by means of a static frequency converter powered by a bank of storage batteries, brings the car to the nearest floor and opens the automatic doors.

During the emergency operation a special load sensing circuit automatically chooses the best travel direction in counterweighted lift systems, whenever an unbalance is detected between the car load and the counterweight.

Securbreak

The automatic rescue device UPS-SECURBREAK® operates immediately and, powered by an internal battery, enables the arrival of the lift to the nearest floor at low speed and opens the automatic doors.
